A couple weeks ago may have been the first day that my vision was really tested at my job. I don't think I have ever talked about my occupation in any of my posts. But I am a computer programmer. So you can imagine the amount of time that I spend in front of a computer screen coding and solving coding issues.  I demoed an application that I use in my organization to my fellow coworkers to teach them about the application. I made sure I prepared a notes page to ensure that I covered all aspects of the application. The day before I did the demo, I reviewed my notes page and prayed that everything goes smooth with my demo. Friday came and it was demo time. As I sat there, my vision slapped me in the face, I sat there and realized that I could only see but so much on the screen. I felt so defeated. I have never felt this way about my vision. This moment changed everything for me.

I was able to enlarge Google Chrome, but I was not able to see other portions of the screen that required information for my government Id. Luckily, my co worker was nice enough to read the screen for me and walked me through step by step. It was nice to know that there are still people out there who are understandable about a persons situation.

As I learn more about my vision, I know I will come across more situations like this and have a solution to it.
